Jeanne Player, a North Carolina native, lived in Fuquay-Varina most of her childhood. She also spent a great deal of time in Florida as a professional water-skier. In 1991, she took seventh place in the World Women’s Skiing competition. Jeanne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Jeanne has always had a passion for art and the beauty of nature. Recently, she decided to delve into art as a full-time career. While in college, she took many elective art classes, but she is largely self-taught. She prefers to work in acrylics, which allow her to get the effects she wants, and they have a fast drying time, which to Jeanne is a big plus. Jeanne has participated in several exhibits. One of her pieces was recently selected for an exhibit in the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
